How to delete APP registrations
You may have noticed that the delete button is grayed out while viewing the app registrations associated with your account on portal.azure.com.
During my setup and testing, I created many app registrations and it was time for me to clean them up…. but how? It’s actually simple… once you can figure it out.
Step 1: Visit portal.azure.com and Navigate to the app registrations – this blog explains how to do this.
As you can see below, my list is a bit messy… that’s ok, let’s clean them up.
Note the arrow pointing to ALL APPS – this drives me crazy. The default is MY APPS and that shows no registrations… you have to switch it in order for it to show the apps registered using the process outlines in previous blogs in this series.
Step 2: Open up the Registration Blade
This step is easy… just click on the registration you want to remove.
Step 3: Open up the Manifest Blade
The screen shot below is the Registration Blade with the Manifest Option. You can see that “delete” is grayed out.
Step 4: Edit Manifest Syntax
Click on the Edit option on the Edit Manifest blade. Next, find the “availableToOtherTenants” line where the value will need to be changed to false.
Change the value from True to false, then Hit Save.
Step 5: Delete the App Registration
After saving the manifest blade, you can close it to go back to the App registration blade. Notice now the Delete button is available… simple click delete and you have now removed the app registrations.
I know… that was easy… but it wasn’t so easy to figure it out… hopefully this helps you!
