Jet Reports – What is it and how do I get it?

Jet Reports is an Excel Add-in that can be used to easily create financial statements and other business intelligent reports.  It lives in excel and connects directly to your Dynamics GP database.  There is even a free version…  interested?  YES PLEASE!!
This quick write up walks through how to get the Jet Reports add-in and get it installed in your excel application.
Jet Reports works with versions of GP dating all the back to version 9… it also even works with Excel 2010!!  So, let’s take a look.

As I mentioned above, Jet Reports is compatible with A LOT!  Here is the full list of prerequisites:
Database:
Microsoft Dynamics GP (Version 9.0 and Newer)
Microsoft Office:
Microsoft Office 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016, Microsoft Office 365 Desktop Edition
Operating System:
Microsoft Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 through 2012R2
Prerequisites:
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5**
**Microsoft .NET Framework will be installed with Jet Reports
Next, Navigate to:

This will get you the free version – I do recommend checking out the paid version as it offers a TON more useful features!  Here is a comparison:

Scroll down until you see “Download Now” – Click that button, fill out the form, and then save the file locally to your computer.
